New Look Everything Skater

This summer A line dresses and skater dresses/skirts are a girls best friend. As I have mentioned before I am in love. If i had it my way I would be wearing skater everyday. I think that these looks truly compliment everyones body type. The flare of the dress/skirt hides any muffin top and woman like curves that don’t always look flattering. Here are a few of my favorites from New Look.

Style Proud

Narrator: This year UNO held the second annual fashion show for Style Proud. Style Proud aims to bridge the gap between students and local fashion professionals through a ‘Project Runway’ inspired fashion show. There were Five local high schools in attendance including Benson, Bryan, Central, Millard North and the featured school Omaha North.

This year UNO students helped put the event together.

Garret davis was on of those students involved.

Davis: “The event was a great success! We started the day by giving the high school students tours of UNO. We then had a panel of local fashion experts talk to the high school students about their careers. We finished the day with a project runway style fashion show.”

Narrator: This year Omaha North High School chose the theme of “Recycle, Redesign, Reuse”. The students took old items of clothing and transformed them into creations that give their designs new life.

Prior to the runway show finale, high school students were able to prepare themselves for their future by networking with local designers and other career professionals.

For the school of communication, i’m Alexis Lowe.

Summer skirt must haves (Pinterest)

I find myself pinning a large amount of skirts and dresses for my spring looks. Theses are a few skirts that are my must haves. Not necessarily in these colors but definitely these styles. My favorite is the black and white stripped skater skirt. Have fun with your skirts this spring/summer dress it up or dress it down!

Looksy

Good afternoon friends,

It has been a busy busy week but I’m back. I wanted to introduce you to a site called Looksy. I actually learned about this site awhile back from Kendall and Kylie Jenner. It has grown a massive amount since the first time I visited the site. How Looksy works is they have “deals of the day” everyday. They have a certain amount of stock on each product, so inventory goes fast! It is an accessory obsessed based company that focuses on jewelry, bags, scarves, t-shirts, and phone cases. They give you the retail price and then the price that they give you discounted.

These are a few of my favorites from todays “Deal of the Day” there are so many other faves:
